At Smithfield United Church of Christ, we like having a good time and spreading a little joy around us. From our annual downtown summer camps for kids to our seasonal festivals and the Smithfield Street Theater's regular theatrical plays, there is always something to get involved with or just attend for fun. For a quick overview of upcoming events, be sure to check our calendar page.
Interested in joining Smithfield? Please speak with Rev. Patterson. Orientation sessions will begin soon.
It is time to celebrate the ones we love!! Join us for our Valentine’s-themed That’s Amore luncheon on Sunday, February 9, immediately following service. We won’t have pizza, but we will have meatless pasta, meatballs, salad, and dessert. Make sure to sign up at the welcome center or send an email to the church office at email@example.com.
Soup, Bread, and Conversation – our annual Lenten event – will begin March 1 and continue each Sunday until March 29. Immediately following worship on each of these Sundays, we will gather in the Social hall to enjoy great soups, bread, and desserts, as we gather around tables enjoying one another’s company and talking about the ideas Rev. Patterson presented in that day’s sermon. Each week it is different, and if we sit with different people each week, we might learn quite a bit about one another. Soup, Bread, and Conversation is truly good food for the soul! There will be sign-up sheets in the social hall each Sunday for donations of soup, bread, and dessert or you may call the church office at 412-281-1811.
