Rev. Douglas Patterson has led Smithfield United Church of Christ as Senior Minister since 1998.  Rev. Patterson earned a Master in Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary and his ordination was recognized by the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. Previous to serving Smithfield's UCC, he worked for Guideposts, Inc. as Director of Outreach Ministries. In addition to his current role, Rev. Patterson serves on several boards and agencies, including Fair Oaks of Pittsburgh and the Board of Directors of the Penn West Conference, United Church of Christ. Rev. Patterson is known for having many varied interests including powerlifting, African drumming, traveling, and music. He is married to Ramona and is the father of three adult children.
