Rev. Dr. Rebecca Cole-Turner, Minister of Spiritual Formation

Rebecca was ordained in the United Church of Christ April 3, 2016, and installed as Minister of Spiritual Formation at Smithfield. After a rewarding career as a psychologist/therapist/university instructor, for the past decade Rebecca has been a spiritual director and retreat leader. Rebecca is a 2014 Masters of Divinity graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and of the Certificate in Spiritual Formation program. She also holds a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction from San Francisco Theological Seminary. She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Syracuse University, an M.S. and C.A.S. in Counseling and Psychological Services from SUNY Oswego, and a B.A. in Social Sciences from Wheaton College. Rebecca’s favorite pilgrimage is to the reconstructed anchorite cell of Julian of Norwich in England, where she was inducted as a Companion of Julian (CJN) in a ceremony at St. Julian’s Church in May 2014.
