Easter Sunday – April 4, 2010

Thanks to Mariruth and Gene the sanctuary is in readiness for the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus:

Lily-bedecked Cross

Downstairs, in the Social Hall, families are gathering to participate in the third annual Easter Egg hunt that will take them to classrooms, the gym, the church office, and the hallways in search of brightly colored plastic eggs. Each team is to search for a specific number of eggs of an assigned color — yellow, pink, blue, green, purple. Inside the eggs are small characters and objects they'll use to follow the story of Jesus' road to the cross. Having found all of their eggs, the searchers will return to the Social Hall, open the eggs and, with the help of a Bible, place each object in its place on a story sheet. Sounds easy? Not exactly. Sounds like fun? Absolutely!

The eggs are mostly hidden in plain sight, but it does take imagination to find some of them.
