Apple Festival October 2010

The 2010 Smithfield United Church of Christ Apple Festival left the two Andys on their own above Strawberry Way as the promised "chill in the air" made gathering in the Social Hall a wise choice. Whatever the weather, spirits in the Social Hall are always high as neighbors and passers-by come in for the justly renowned Smithfield Church apple desserts. The menu is a simple one: apple dumplings with or without sauce and apple pie with or without ice cream.

What would a Smithfield Church Festival be without the music of the Horace Turner group, joined from time to time by Smithfield's own mouth-harpist Art and African drummer Doug?
