Easter Sunday – April 12, 2009

All is in readiness for the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus:

Downstairs, in the Social Hall, families are gathering to participate in the second annual Easter Egg hunt that will take them to classrooms, the gym, the church office, the Pilgrim Adventure room, the narthex, and back to the Social Hall in search of brightly colored plastic eggs. Each team is to search for eggs of an assigned color: yellow, pink, blue, green, purple. Each team has instructions about how many eggs of their color are to be found in each of the hiding spaces. Inside each egg is a cardboard puzzle piece. Having found all of their eggs, the searchers will return to the Social Hall, open the eggs, retrieve the puzzle pieces, and assemble the puzzle. Sounds easy? Not exactly. Sounds like fun? Absolutely!

The hunt is about to begin.

The eggs are mostly hidden in plain sight, but it does take imagination to find some of them.

These boys have to work hard for their pink eggs. One is hidden in the corner behind a waste basket. Another is on the window sill. After a careful climb onto a chair to reach the egg, this youngster runs to mom with the prized egg.
